Walnut’s Feast
There was a large village. In it, there was a beautiful garden. In that garden, on one tree, lived a squirrel named Golu. Golu would run around all day and play with friends. She loved walnuts very much.

One day, she saw a very big walnut lying in the garden. She looked and thought, “Oh! What is this? Such a big walnut?” And she started circling around the walnut to look at it. She had never seen such a big walnut before.

Golu began to think, “If the walnut is this big, how big must the nut inside be?” Thinking that, her mouth started watering. Then she tried to break the walnut with her teeth. But the walnut was too big for her, so it didn’t break.

Golu was puzzled. “If it were a small walnut, I could break it easily with my strong teeth… but what should I do now?” Suddenly, a spark lit up on Golu’s face. She called out loudly to her friends.

Golu showed the big walnut to her friends and said, “Look how big this walnut is! If we break it, we can eat the nut inside!”
“I have an idea,” said Golu, “and I need help from all of you.”

“If we carry this walnut together to the highest branch of the tree and throw it down, the nut inside will be revealed and we’ll be able to eat it!”
All the friends immediately joined Golu in helping. Golu and her friends slowly, but together, carried the walnut up to the highest branch of the tree. Then, from the tall branch, they threw the walnut down to the ground.

In no time, the top part of the walnut broke open, and the nut inside was revealed. Golu and her friends, full of joy, came down from the tree and ate the walnut together. Then they went back to playing again.
